Today, February 13th , 2020, the Centre for development of the South-East planning region in two locations has promoted the Projects: Co-working space – a tool to strengthen the cooperation with the business sector and Agrometeorological stations for protection of agricultural crops and the environment, financed by The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Ministry of Local Self-Government.
Today, February 13th , 2020, the Centre for development of the South-East planning region in two locations has promoted the Projects: Co-working space – a tool to strengthen the cooperation with the business sector and Agrometeorological stations for protection of agricultural crops and the environment, financed by The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Ministry of Local Self-Government.
The event started with on site visit in the Municipality of Vasilevo where one of the 23 Agro-meteorological stations is installed, and then the official promotion continued in the premises of the Centre in Strumica.
Honorable guests at the event were the Ambassador of Switzerland to the Republic of North Macedonia, H.E Sybille Suter Tejada, the Minister of Local Self-Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Goran Milevski, the President of the Council for development of SEPR , Mr. Kosta Janevski, and the Mayors of the Municipalities in the South-East planning region.
During the promotional event, Ms. Julieta Gjurkova, Head of CDSEPR presented the results of the implementation of these projects and noted that such regional projects will have a direct impact on improving the quality of life, regional cooperation and promoting innovative access to services for all citizens in SEPR.
These are projects were selected in a participatory manner with direct participation of the citizens of the South-East region through the Grant Scheme for investment and innovative projects financed through the project „Sustainable and inclusive balanced regional development“.
At the event, the Head of the Centre, Ms. Julieta Gjurkova awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to the Ambassador of Switzerland, H.E Sybille Suter Tejada for her significant contribution to the Sustainable and Inclusive Regional Development.
The two projects that the CDSEPR promoted today will contribute to improve the environmental conditions through the introduction of new technologies in the field of the agriculture, through installing 23 Agrometeorological stations in all municipalities in the region with sensors that will forecast weather conditions and diseases for specific crops, and as well as networking with the business sector through the establishment of a Co –working space in the region, aimed to improve the entrepreneurial environment in SEPR.
