The Ministry of Local Self Government, in cooperation with UNDP, is implementing the project "Innovative solutions for better access to services at local level" which will contribute to creating conditions for increasing and improving the services that citizens can receive electronically, such as advancing the concept of obtaining services at one place by developing functional service centers in all municipalities.
Within the project, mapping of the potentials for development of rural tourism in the South-East planning region is carried out, and for this purpose a workshop was held on October 26, 2017 (Thursday) in the hotel "Sirius", Strumica, starting at 11:00.
During the workshop, the concept and goals of the project "Register of potentials for rural tourism" were presented and discussed, the results of the gathered data from the quantitative research of the experts were presented, and then jointly were determined the factors and attractors, as well as the collection of proposals that will help in the preparation of the Register for mapping the potentials for tourism development.
The attendees at this workshop, representatives from the municipalities of the South-East region, NGOs, travel agencies, hoteliers and other stakeholders actively participated in filling in the matrix for the local rural tourism offer.
