During the celebration of the Day of Liberation of the Municipality of Dojran, on 5th of Novemver 2019, the Manager of the Centre for development of the South-East planning region Ms. Gjurkova was awarded with Certificate of Appreciation for contribution and assistance in the local economic development by the Mayor of the Municipality of Dojran.

At the official ceremony, Ms. Gjurkova congratulated the holiday of all citizens of Dojran and noted that the beginnings of the Centre were also very important to Municipality of Dojran with the implementation of one of the first projects of the Centre in Dojran „Reviltalization of part of the coast of Dojran Lake – Star Dojran“

Namely, in 2015 the project „Revitalization of part of the coast of Dojran Lake - Star Dojran“ was awarded with the first prize for the Most Innovative Regional Project for 2009/2014 in the country by the Ministry of Local Self-Government, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Swiss Agency for cooperation and development.

In the end, Ms. Gjurkova noted that so far the Centre has implemented numerous of projects for tourism development in Dojran and the cooperation with the municipality will continue in order to implement and plan future projects that will contribute to make Dojran a desired destination by all domestic and foreign tourists.
