On April 22, 2022 in Hotel Sirius in Strumica by the Centre for Development of the South-East Planning Region, was held the Second Forum Session "Regional Community Forums" which are realized within the project "Sustainable and inclusive balanced regional development" funded by the Embassy of Switzerland in the Republic of S. Macedonia, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Government of the Republic of S. Macedonia, represented by the Ministry of Local Self-Government.
The Second Forum Session was attended by representatives of the municipalities from the South-East Planning Region, members and presidents of the Municipal Councils of the South-East Planning Region, councilors from the LSGU, representatives of the business community, civil society organizations, urban / local communities and other stakeholders from the region. Participants had the opportunity to rank the proposed concepts for both programs Grant Scheme Program for projects with mandatory digital component and MLS / BRR Program for balanced regional development for 2022 with indicatively planned funds for 2023, which emerged from the participants during at the First Forum Session on Improving Life in the Wider Community and the Region.
The way of ranking the proposed concepts took place so that each working table of the forum session had the right to one vote on the proposed concept, with prior mutual agreement and compromise, the highest ranked concept gets the most points and so the points were distributed according to the voting.
Ranking of the Proposed Concepts under the Grant Scheme Program for projects with a mandatory digital component:
1. Smart cycling region
2. Energy efficient region
3. Dojran regional eco-oasis
Ranking of the Proposed Concepts under the MLS / BRD Program for balanced regional development for 2022 with indicatively planned funds for 2023:
1. Tourism - the future of the region
2. Cultural wealth - a legacy for future generations
3. Reconstruction of the local road v. Stojakovo - v. Gjavoto
4. Preparation of technical documentation for construction of bicycle paths in the municipalities of Konce, Radovish and Vasilevo
The next steps that will be taken in relation to the results of the ranked concept proposals according to the Grant Scheme are preparation of project applications and submission to the evaluation committee, while the draft concepts from the MLSW / BRR Program will be presented to the SEPR Development Council. A decision on establishing a list of regional project proposals for 2022 will be made for their consideration, of course taking into account the voting of the Second Forum Session.
